Course Description

The LGV Cat C driving course is 4 or 5 days training with your driving test at the end of your training week, you will receive a 1 hour lesson before your test.

We train candidates in the skills and principles involved in large goods vehicles to a standard where they are able to pass a Driving Standards Agency driving test.

Course Requirements

You must get a medical examination; to enable you to get provisional C1 entitlement on your current licence , we can arrange this for you.

Then you must book your theory and hazard perception test through the DVSA website - https://www.gov.uk/book-theory-test.

We supply free tuition for the test and you can purchase the official DSA theory book for Large goods vehicles and the hazard perception driving test disc from your local bookstore or on Amazon.

LGV Case Studies test this is an additional test that you must sit if you passed your car test after 1st January 1997 & will be using you LGV licence to drive for hire and reward, however if you are applying for the ambulance service or will be using your licence for your own personal use you do not need to sit this test.

Driver CPC Training

Driver CPC is a European Union directive that affects all professional LGV (Large Goods Vehicle) and PCV (Passenger Carrying Vehicle) drivers.

For new drivers it introduces an initial qualification, the Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence), which increases the amount of knowledge that drivers need before they can drive.
